Simpur Ultra Run

Simpur Ultra Run is an ultra distance running that involves several hiking trails in Bandar Seri Begawan. The name of Simpur is also taken in commemoration of the National flower of Brunei Darussalam.

The main objective of this event is to welcome beginners to trail run as well as experienced ultra runners who want to improve their performance. In addition, introduces the beauty of greenery that is still preserved in Brunei Darussalam for the exploration of the public and tourists all over the world.

Distance   : 50km & 18km
Participant’s Entitlements: Race Bib, Race Time, Event Tee, Refreshment on course & finish line, Insurance
Finisher’s Entitlements: Finisher Tee, Finisher Medal, E-Cert

Refund policy:   Registration fees are non-refundable.
Transfer policy:   Bib transfer can only be made before the close of registration period (31st December 2022) with an   admin fee of BND10. No bib transfer will be entertained after the end of registration period. You   need to find the person yourself to transfer the entry to. Payment arrangement for the bib transfer   will need to be sorted out between you and the person to transfer to.

Safety and Medical 
1.Participants are participating at their own risk.
2.Participants are expected to understand and recognize the risks of injuries and accidents associated with long-distance trail race.
3.Basic medical aid will be available at a few designated checkpoints.
4.In a case of medical emergency where response or evacuation is required, participants are expected to understand that such response or evacuation may be slow due to the nature of the event and accessibility to parts of the race course.
5.Race officials have the rights to withdraw any participants deemed unfit to continue the race.
6.The Organizer reserve the right to implement any additional measures at any time of the race to protect the race and the participants’ safety before and during the race.

Prohibited Actions
1.Not carrying mandatory items during the race.

2.Taking shortcuts or running off the track.

3.Throwing garbage along the route.

4.Cheating and unsporting actions.

5.Not abiding the rules and instruction by the Organizer and Race Officials.

6.Doping and the use of prohibited drugs.

Event/ Race/ Route Changes and Cancellation
The Organizer reserved the right to postpone, change or cancel the Event/Race/Route if deemed necessary.

Image/Photo/Video Rights
Each participant expressly foregoes his/her image rights for the photos/videos taken during the duration of the race and undertakes not to take any action against the Organizer and their partners for the use of the images.

Additional Rules
1.The Organizer reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without prior notice and reason.
2.The Organizer reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice or when the participants quota reaches its limit.

3.Any participant found running with an unauthorized race number or bib will be disqualified, and the entry fee is not refundable.
4.The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who gives incorrect personal data or details on the entry form, or who is suspected of having taken illegal substances. The entry fee will not be refunded.
5.The Organizer’s decision in any matter related to the event shall be binding and final. Any request for appeals must be made within one hour of the finishing time. A charge of BND65 for 18km category & BND100 for 50km category will need to be paid, this charge will only be refunded if the participant can provide sufficient proof on the appeal to the Organizer.
6.The Organizer and its representatives shall not be held responsible for any injury, death, damage, loss, delay, expense incurred, or inconveniences caused before, during or after the race.
7.Should the race be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, natural disaster, national security interest, etc.), no refund of the entry fees will be made, and the Organizer shall have no further responsibility and/or liability thereafter.

Waver Declaration

I, whose name appears in the registration hereof in consideration, of and as a condition of acceptance of my entry into Simpur Ultra Run or associated event for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators hereby waive all and any claim, right of the cause of action which I or they might otherwise have for or arising out of loss of my life or injury, damage of any description whatsoever, which I may suffer or sustain in the course of or consequent upon my entry or participation in the above race. I will abide by the race rules governing these events. This waiver, release discharge shall be and operate separately in favour of all persons, corporations, and bodies involved or otherwise engaged in the promoting of the event and the service agents, representatives, and officers of any of them. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of the entered race. I give permission for the free use of my name, voice, or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising promotion, or other account of this event.

By registering, I certify that i have read this document and i fully understand its content. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract and i agreed of my own free will.
